   Garner Volunteer Fire Rescue Inc. is a combination department serving over 50,000 people in the Town of Garner and Wake County area totaling 53 square miles of district.  We operate out of 3 stations with the 4th one under construction.  Each station is staffed 24 hours a day.  Our department protects lives, property, and environment through highly trained firefighters with state of the art equipment. 
Services include:
• Fire Suppression
• First Responder Medical service as EMT-B
• Technical Rescue
• Fire Prevention and Education

Garner Engine 1 responds with Eastern Wake and Raleigh Fire Departments on a working house fire on Branch Rd.

Garner Engine 1 and Car 3 responded to a vehicle fire on I 40.

Severe Thunderstorms rolled through Cloverdale Subdivision

 

 


7/17/2010 (C Shift)

On July 17th at 1519 hrs Eng 3, Eng 1, and R-1 responded to an accident on Benson Rd at Timber Dr. Arriving units had 2 patients pinned in the Ford Escape. As a result of great teamwork both patients were extricated in under 16 mins from the dispatch time of the incident.

Garner Engine 1 and Car 3 responded to Raynor Rd. & Spaceway Ct. for a MVA with entrapment.


7/11/2010 (A-Shift)

Garner Fire Engine 1 and Rescue 1 respond to a single car MVA on Jones Sausage Rd.

Garner Fire Engine 1 and Rescue 1 respond to a MVA over turned on Auburn Church Rd.

Garner Fire Engine 1 reponded to a vehicle fire on I- 40.

7/01/2010 (A-Shift)

Garner Fire Engine 2, Rescue 2 and Car 3 responded to a single vehicle accident with 4 fatalities on Rock Service Station Rd.

 


6/28/2010

Garner Fire/Rescue hired 13 new recruits that started work today. Four will go online today and nine will start a six month academy to get all the required training. The probationary firefighters are: Jeff Gulley, Christian Kemp, Scott Rietvelt, Bryce Overton, Dean Falzon, Bradley Harper, Jason Pope, Matthew Spivey, Jeff Wommack, Ben Fredette, Michael Henderson, Patrick Schambs, & Robert Hodge.

Garner Fire Engine 1 and Rescue 1 respond to a MVC rollover on E.Garner Rd.

 


6/4/2010 (B-Shift)
Garner Fire Engine 4, Engine 1, Rescue 1, Tanker 7, and Fairview Engine 3 respond to a working house fire on Colonial Dr.
